Why HMUN India?

Harvard Model United Nations builds upon seven decades of experience - with the first Model League of Nations in 1927, followed by the first Model UN conference in 1953. HMUN is an initiative of Harvard University's IRC, engaging more than 6000 students annually across its conferences in the USA, China, India and UAE.

This year, to mark 14 years of HMUN India, we promise to make it bigger, better and deliver a meaningful experience to your students in Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR through dynamic committees, an array of exceptional speakers and unique engagements along with activities, workshops, and training sessions. The conference will witnesses the participation of over 1700 young minds from over 200 schools and 15 countries around the world.

“I had the opportunity to view HMUN through different perspectives and every single time it proved to be an experience that I will never forget. As a delegate back in 2016, I learnt the real meaning of diplomacy, research, and leadership. Over the years, HMUN has truly proven itself as a platform where Gen-Z gets to transform into a Generation of Solvers, all while having fun!”
