shameel aubeelauck

SECRETARY-GENERAL

Shameel Aubeelauck is a junior at Harvard College concentrating in Social Studies. In addition to his time in Boston, Shameel has spent much of his time living around the globe, including Romania, Mauritius, Connecticut and most recently, Nebraska. Shameel first became involved with MUN as a first-year at the college through HMUN India. Since then, he has fallen in love with MUN, serving as a director for HMUN, HMUN India, and HNMUN-LA and is currently USG Operations for Harvard Intercollegiate MUN Conference HNMUN 2025 (however HMUN India is by far his most favorite conference!)

Outside of Model UN, Shameel enjoys working out at the gym, hanging with friends, or grabbing a delicious cup of coffee (or whatever caffeinated drink is readily available!). Shameel is super stoked to welcome everyone to HMUN India 2025!

DIRECTOR-GENERAL

Ved is a rising junior at Harvard studying Applied Mathematics. He grew up in Mumbai, starting his MUN journey on the Indian circuit. As a high schooler, he had the opportunity to attend HMUN India as a delegate and assistant director, and is excited to return to the conference five years later as your Director General. At Harvard, Ved competes with the Intercollegiate MUN Team, staffs HMUN/HNMUN Boston, and serves as the Under Secretary General of Operations for HMUN Dubai. Outside HMUN, Ved is involved with the Harvard Undergraduate Consulting Group and political science research.

UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL FOR COMMITTIEES

Liv is a sophomore in Quincy house studying English with a minor in Government from Rochester, Michigan. Liv is incredibly excited to serve as the Under-Secretary-General Committees for HMUN India 2025!

Liv has competed in Model UN for 6 years, staffed both HMUN and HNMUN 2024, served as Director of Innovation and Director of Training on Harvard's Intercollegiate Model United Nations team, directed at HMUN India this past summer, and served as Under-Secretary-General of Finance for HNMUN 2025. Outside of Model UN, Liv is involved in Harvard College Consulting Group and JFK Jr. Forum Committee. In her free time, Liv enjoys reading, traveling, hiking, and spending time with her friends and family. Liv cannot wait to welcome all of our incredible delegates to HMUN India 2025!


caleb thompson

UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL FOR OPERATIONS

Caleb Thompson is a rising junior at Harvard studying Applied Mathematics and Government. Growing up, he had the opportunity to embark on several impactful trips with his family, including month-long visits to Eastern Europe, Southeast Asia, and Taiwan, which sparked a passion for learning more about the world. For his senior year of high school, he had the opportunity to expand his knowledge of the world even more by living in Adana, Türkiye as an exchange student. In his free time, he enjoys playing the piano, learning new languages, and spending for outside. Whether he is hiking or discussing international relations, exploration and curiosity unite his passions.


 
 

 

himani yarlagadda

UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL FOR ADMINISTRATION

Himani Yarlagadda is a rising junior at Harvard studying Applied Mathematics, focusing in biology, and Global Health and Health Policy. She is incredibly excited to be joining HMUN India as USG for Administration! As a Model UN delegate throughout all of high school, Himani is honored to serve on Secretariat for HMUN India and help out with this amazing conference. Previously, she has directed at HMUN Australia, HMUN Boston, and HNMUN Boston. Besides Model UN, she serves as a first responder on campus and co-manages The Harvard Undergraduate Research Journal's Technology Board. In her free time, Himani enjoys scouring Boston for the best ice cream places, going on long walks with friends, swimming, and listening to movie soundtracks. She is looking forward to HMUN India and cannot wait to meet you all in person!


rahul yates

UNDER-SECRETARY-GENERAL FOR HOST AFFAIRS

Rahul Yates is a rising junior at Harvard studying Economics and South Asian Studies. He is excited to make his MUN experience international with HMUN India, as he is highly interested in learning more about South Asia and would love to work professionally in India someday. Previously, Rahul has directed the Legal Committee at HMUN Boston and was a Director of Administration for HNMUN Boston. On campus, Rahul is involved with Harvard Consulting on Business and the Environment and helps coordinate exciting events for Harvard’s South Asian community through Harvard Dharma and the South Asian Association. In his spare time, Rahul enjoys watching Bollywood songs and playing the daily Wordle in 4 different languages!
